The NBA hosts an off-season tournament in Las Vegas. The NBA Summer League is a testing ground for new players, rules and fan experiences. Prolonging the NBA presence throughout the year for fans has been a critical step for the growth of the league.
We were tasked with updating the fan experience with marketing, logistical information, fun ads and fan photos. This still being the early years of the Summer League, every interaction and user experience had to underscore the point that this was a new fixture of the calendar.
As lead on the project, I was involved in the concept, design and execution of our signage system which included; two signage archways, an interactive video wall and integrated stadium channel to play on TVs throughout the venue.
In addition to my design work I also was present for the install and initial days of operation make sure the deployment was smooth and the system was a sustainable solution for the end users in the event team.
